Holy Hades I am now in LOVE with Donna Grant! Wow, wow, wow. I MUST read her Dark Kings series now.
Ok on with the review…
Dragon King Arian has been asleep in his Scotland mountain cave for six hundred years. Recently awakened to help aid the ongoing war with the dark fae he is alerted to an intruder on his territory. Ready to annihilate this intruder he is surprised to find a mortal with hypnotic blue eyes and blonde hair, impervious to his presence typing away on her laptop.
Grace is in a funk. She has only three weeks to get this stupid book wrote or she fears she might lose her contract. She makes the crazy decision to travel to the beautiful mountains of Scotland in hopes the change in scenery will get her writing again. She might have gotten more than she bargained for when this beautiful, mysterious, naked man walks out of the cave. Since she is just now getting her writing groove back she refuses to leave. They strike up a deal. He allows her to stay until the storm passes and then she is free to go.
Little does she know that Arian can control the weather and plans on using it to make her stay in order to see if she is working with the dark fae. They soon realize that the cave is not big enough for the two of them and their ever growing sexual tension between each other.
When Grace is sleeping, Arian slips out to fight the fae. Caught in his true form, Grace should be scared…but she is drawn to this beautiful creature. Arian is determined that Grace is not a threat and he should let her leave but something in him wants her to stay. So the storm rages on.
Grace hates storms…and when she finds Arian is using them against her she is heartbroken. Determined to put the memory of Arian and the Dragon Kings behind her she leaves. But she soon realizes that her heart is being left behind…
Favorite Scene: When Graces sees Arian in his true form for the first time.
The few hours with him had altered her mind, her body, and her heart. Now she looked at the world entirely different because she knew there was magic and dragons, Fae, and Druids walking around.
