Master Over You: A Dark Romance Novel
by Cerys du Lys, Ethan Winters
My name is Noah. I’m not a nice person. This isn’t cupcakes and candyland, love.
I’ll take you, break you, and offer you to the highest bidder without a second thought. You’re mine now. It’s business, nothing personal. You wouldn’t understand, and I’m not going to explain it. Sorry, love, you don’t mean a thing to me.
Just know that there’s a monster in every closet, and I’m in yours.
Author Note – This dark romance novel contains themes that may be discomforting to some people. If you are sensitive to depictions of violence, then this book is not recommended for you.

TOP 10 Questions
If you were stranded on a desert island, what 10 books would you want to have with you?
This is a great question! My top 10 desert island books might be um… a little strange, though, haha. I’m actually a really big fantasy romance fan, so I don’t know if a lot of people have heard of most of these, but here they are…
(In no particular order)
1 ~ Kushiel’s Scion
2 ~ Kushiel’s Justice
3 ~ Kushiel’s Mercy
I liked all of the Kushiel’s Legacy books, but the ones with Imriel and Sidonie were by far my favorite. I actually think these are my favorite books ever. I really enjoyed reading about their story a lot.
4 ~ Rhapsody: Child of Blood
5 ~ Prophecy: Child of Earth
6 ~ Destiny: Child of the Sky
I loved all these books! Honestly, the first three books in the Symphony of Ages series are just a lot better than the rest, though. They’re all good, but after the first three they just seem kind of weird and different to me in some way. I like them, but only these three made the cut.
7 ~ The Princess Bride
I have a love/hate relationship with this book, haha. I love it! I think it’s fun and romantic and silly at parts but serious at others. I think it’s a great book, but… I just wish there was another one. I want more. I’m very selfish, apparently.
8 ~ The Time Traveler’s Wife
This is the best, saddest, happiest, most thought-provoking, special book I’ve ever read. The book is a million times better than the movie, with so much more depth. It’s just a really amazing book and you can read it a ton of times and learn new things each time.
9 ~ Tears of Tess
I loved Tears of Tess a lot. I keep meaning to read the rest of the series, but I haven’t had a chance to yet.
10 ~ The Billionaire’s Paradigm: His Absolute Purpose
This is my book, but I love it so much so I would want to have it with me. I feel like if I’m stuck on a desert island, I’d want to have at least a small memory of my writing to bring with me, and this is the book I’d take that’s mine.
Ethan is a gentleman, an author, a lover, and occasionally a rake, a cad, and a dom, but only if you’ve been good (punishing good girls is more entertaining than punishing the naughty ones). He lives in the Greater Boston area in a small town in New Hampshire where he grew up.
He has a penchant for exploring and traveling, with a passion for the unique and interesting. His interests include reading, exercising, laying on the beach, spanking (good girls), romancing, smiling, going for walks that lead to nowhere, hiking, bondage, and one day he would love to travel to Alaska.
His writing delves into the human experience, with a preference towards a psychological thriller twist. He loves mystery, dark romance, and suspense. While some of his writing may be twisted, he believes in romantic true love, above all things. His books include raw, real emotions, good and bad. He believes there is a light at the end of every dark tunnel, and his writing hopes to encompass that.
He loves happy endings, kissing, and a focus on the ordinary turned extraordinary.
TOP 10 Questions
If you were stranded on a desert island, what 10 books would you want to have with you? (I wouldn’t mind being trapped on a desert island with this guy…oops did I say that out loud?)
1 – Lord of Light
Interesting science fiction book on the cyclical nature of life.
2 – The Notebook
The movie was somehow better, but I enjoyed the book, too.
3 – The Way of Shadows
4 – Shadow’s Edge
5 – Beyond the Shadows
Great epic fantasy series by Brent Weeks. Enjoyed these books a lot.
6 – The Princess Bride
Probably liked it for the same reason Cerys does. I need my own copy even if we’re trapped together, though. She’ll just hog it and never let me read it.
7 – Ready Player One
I haven’t actually read this one yet, but the idea of it interests me. I don’t want to miss out so I’m bringing it with me.
8 – Dune
Great science fiction book, even for people who don’t like science fiction.
9 – Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland
I love everything related to Alice in Wonderland, haha.
10 – Master Over You
MY Review with bonus playlist
Whoa. Shut the front door. This is the most brilliant fucking story I ever read. 5+ stars!
Sorry but this story makes me want to drop the F-Bomb A LOT. Plus I’m not sugar coating this review. It’s dark and twisty and sick but you know what I like it. The world is not all princess and rainbows. There are some sick fucks out there. Noah just happened to find one. This is a story were the Master becomes the Servant. The Hunter becomes the Hunted.
First off Cerys and Ethan. These two ridiculously good looking authors are Gods. I didn’t think reading a book with two mixed POVs would ever work but it flowed beautifully. I love how you start the book thinking you know how it’s going to end. Man Doms girl, girl falls in love with man. They live happily ever after….WRONG. Throw in Mistress Angeline. She is one crazy bitch that is for sure. Her cheese slid off her cracker years ago. Noah (ok irony is not lost to me in this name…see Ethan’s Top 10 questions) is his own tortured soul.
I fell in love with a monster and she ate my fucking soul.
Ok here is my review.
Chastity White is in college about to turn 21 when she finds herself kidnapped by Noah. Now she is her own version of fucked up crazy bitch. Suffering a serious case of Stockholm’s syndrome.
Forbidden and raw and rough, risky and intense. That’s what great sex was all about, I thought. That’s what I wanted with Noah. I wanted him to make love to me like he almost had before when we first met.
Before Noah’s torture can begin they find themselves kidnapped by Angeline. Psycho bitch number one. Noah finds himself looked in the lion’s den where he is the pray. She breaks him down and builds him back up with torture and daily mind fucks. He finds himself strangely attracted to her. He thinks he must be fucking crazy. A few French fries short of a happy meal.
But when the past catches up with them and the truth comes out will these two tortured souls kill each other or have there own psychotic happily ever after? And how will Chastity play in all of this? (Make sure you read the epilogue!!!!)
All in all this story is not for the faint at heart…HELL YEAH just how I like it. If you like a dark romance then you really REALLY need to read this one.
I don’t do a playlist often but sometimes (like last night) I find myself not able to sleep with songs and thoughts of a book I can’t seem to get out of my head. This was one of those books. Enjoy. I’m going to wash my mouth out with soap now.
