What Books Will We Review?

I love to hear from authors and I always promise a completely honest review on GR, Facebook, my blog and on Amazon..

  • We DO read contemporary romance, erotica, YA, adult romance, paranormal and thriller novels.
  • We accept mobi, epup, pdf and LOVE to accept print though it might take me a little longer to read. (I’m blind and have to wear reading glasses lol)
  • We DO NOT accept audio books
  • We can forgive almost any wrong-doing as long as it is in the name of love.
  • We don’t mind having my heart ripped out as long as I feel satisfied at the end of the book (this does not have to mean a happily ever after)

We will rate and review your book according to what we feel my blog followers will enjoy and how we felt about the book, so please only request a review if it is the kind of genre my review team and I would enjoy. My top priority, when reviewing, is to be honest with my blog followers.

My reviews are typically written in a relaxed humorous manner as if I was telling someone what I just read. I am not a English major, just someone that has a love for books and wants to share my opinions.

I write honest reviews, and therefore I cannot guarantee a positive review. My reviews are my opinion. I try to make sure I explain why the book in question did not suit me personally. I avoid writing nasty/offensive commentary. If a review is, by chance, ever offensive I want to know.

For books I do not finish reading This is a VERY rare occurrence but if I do, I will state that I did not finish the book, why I did not finish and how far through the book I got.

If I receive a books specifically for a review from author/publisher and my review is not positive the party who gave the book has the right to ask for promotion spot instead or a review posting. Please let me know in the request. I will not sell any ARCs or Galleys, however I may swap or give to other bloggers or my review team.

Review Structure

All reviews will include the following:

  • Cover art
  • Book stats: Title, author, series status, Genre(s) as most often categorized as on Goodreads, publication month/year
  • My review: What I liked and didn’t, some self-written re-summarizing, may include quotes I liked, etc.
  • Rating: on a 5 star scale.
  • Author Bio

To receive an 4+ rating: They moved me emotionally or made me think deeply about a topic, They were beautiful stories or have great characters. Most of the time they were the books that I really want to own (or do own) and will reread over and over again because I love the characters and story.

Ratings are based on my personal enjoyment of the book and are not meant to be objective ratings for the most part.

Giveaways, Blog Tours, Promos, Interviews Etc.

I would be more than happy to host events such as a blog tour stop, author interviews, or contests, giveaways, etc. My only request to doing so is that I get a copy of the book the event is for before the event takes place. This is so that I can be prepared for making it fun, successful and interactive for everyone.

  • Hi, there. My name is Anthony David Mitchell and my book is a crime thriller titled “Who You Work For.” Here is the blurb:

Reclusive assassin Thomas Moore dreams of joining his love,Dearest, in his private world he calls “Detour.” Moore’s father, Partner, has left him for the past year which Moore believes is his toughest lesson on growing up to being a man. All seems in place when Moore is confronted by his boss who he has never met who offers him a deal to get three times his usual money to kill a small-town mayor. Moore has only killed men guilty of murder and while his boss tells him this man is guilty, he cannot be sure. He will have to choose between grabbing the life he wants and sparing the life of a good man. Suspenseful, darkly humorous with a deep look at a man who sees this world as a technological hell, Who You Work For will have you rooting for a man who could only be wrong in a world where all is lost.

I can send the copy in MOBI, EPUB, PDF or in paperback version. Thank you for your time and happy reading.

  • hello, my name is Gary Hope, my book is “Abbey” which I’ve attached. I hope you have time to read it. It already has several reviews on Amazon and Barnes & Noble. It was self-published this past April, 2016. Here is a short synopsis:

“Abbey” is a story of love you didn’t think possible….a story you wish had happened to you. It’s a story of love that is so overwhelming that hearing the sound of her voice in your ear fills your senses with her completely. You inhale her, you taste her. Your life begins with her and without her, it must surely end. The pessimist in you is certain a love this fulfilling and unending is improbable at best, except in your dreams. But Abbey lives this dream for us. He enables us to imagine what love could be.
thanks for taking the time and I truly hope you enjoy the book. Thanks, Gary
also, I think it’s still free on Kindle, and it’s available on Amazon and Barnes & Noble

  • Hi
Hope you are doing well! Let me first introduce myself. I am an upcoming indie author specializing in the romance genre. I am keen on getting reviews for my books from people who love romance as I firmly believe that constructive feedback (positive or negative) shall help me get better at my craft.
I have previously ghostwritten scores of short stories ranging from regency to contemporary billionaire romance but now I want to go the self publishing way.
My stories are typically 8-12 thousand words in length and are intended to be short reads that you can enjoy during a break or while commuting or waiting for your turn at the hairdressers!
The book that I’d like you to review is titled “His Innocent Sweetheart”. It is a short romance novella that explores the relationship between a small town girl and a popular Hollywood action hero. The novella is 10,423 words long and is a clean, contemporary romance story.
I am willing to send a free copy of my book “His Innocent Sweetheart” (pdf/mobi /epub format) with the hope that you’ll enjoy reading it and will leave an honest review on Amazon, Goodreads and Smashwords. Thank you so much for taking out the time to read this mail.
    Kind Regards
    Paula Jane (Author)

  • Hello,

I’d love to be reviewed by your awesome blog!

My paranormal romance/urban fantasy The Trickster’s Lover is an independently published contemporary romance with the Norse god of lies, Loki. The synopsis is below. Please let me know if this sounds like something you’d like to read and review! 🙂

Surviving Graduate School ~ Falling in Love ~ Preventing Ragnarök

Graduate student Caroline Capello has always been more comfortable with books than people. She’s just moved to the University of Chicago to become the world’s foremost authority on Norse mythology, making her the only member of her family to leave San Diego, and the family business.

But she’s wondering if she’s just made the biggest mistake of her life.

When the enigmatic and irresistibly sexy Norse god Loki appears in her studio apartment, Caroline is forced to question everything she’s learned.

Do the gods exist? Are the legends about Ragnarök, the apocalyptic battle that destroys the gods and ends the Nine Realms, actually true?

Or is she losing her mind?

    Thank you for your time!

  • Hi there!

I stumbled on your blog via The Indie View, and was hoping you’d be interested in reviewing my book, Avalon Dreams.

~They say what you don’t know can’t hurt you.. They’re never been more wrong.~

“It was impossible they had met before – of that she was certain. Yet his hold on her was undisputable, an irrational pull to the utmost recesses of her soul.”

Vivienne du Lac has everything she could wish for – a normal, peaceful life, a good job, cushy nest egg, and a semi-social nightlife. The only problem? She’s clueless to being the reincarnation of the Lady of the Lake, Merlin’s apprentice.

Sebastien Dubois is the bad boy you wouldn’t take home to mom and dad – quite the opposite. The sexual chemistry between them is sizzling from the start – but there’s more to the tall, dark and handsome stranger. When a magical past tumbles into her orderly reality, he is Vivienne’s only hope at survival.

Caught between darkness and light, a battle she has no intention to fight – let alone the knowledge to win – Vivienne quickly finds out not even closest allies can be trusted.

Can she look within and become the enchantress Merlin meant her to be… Or will she lose it all over love, for Sebastien’s salvation? This is a battle between good and evil you don’t want to miss.

  • Hi!,

My first book Impossible to Love (The Starlite Heart #1) would love to get reviewed by your blog.

    Genre-Romantic Fantasy (High/ Medieval/Mythopoeia)

Short Blurb-Prince Neal has many secrets to hide, the most shocking among them is his love for a starlite. Untouched by the royal secrets and unaware of the human’s love, Sophia grew up believing that nobody can love a starlite. While Sophia is busy protecting the humans from life-threatening seducers called nymphs, Neal is determined to make her fall in love with him. But he doesn’t know that destiny’s plans are always a step ahead of him.

Long Blurb- There is an age old story – some call it a myth, some believe it to be history. Nevertheless, the fact remains that there exist three different species who look alike. First are the underwater dwellers – the nymphs. The myth says that they are cursed never to find love. They are all females and mate with humans, killing them after the act. Second are the starlites. They can fly, and their hearts are cold as the snow covered peaks they live in. They are cursed never to feel love or get loved by anyone. The third is the human race. Humans can feel love, get love, cherish it and hence are considered worthy to rule everyone. The guardians are a group of starlites whose job is to protect the humans from the nymphs and they have got a new member- Sophia Antofurota.
Sophia gradually finds out that the royalty is hiding many secrets but never suspects that she can have any part to play in their schemes. Will she find out that the crown-prince is in love with her or will the world keep believing that starlites are impossible to love?

  • Greetings Amy,

I found your name on the list of The Book Reviewers Yellow Pagers. I would like to submit a review request per your guidelines.

This is an ambitious series of adult fiction and romantic novels, meant to engage the more discerning taste in the fantastical. It relates the evolving relationship between a 500,000-year-old culture and humanity and serves as a setting for the passions and battles of the 6,000-year-old Protectress.

This book is genre specific but ranges broad in storyline and characterization within both ancient Khemit and present-day. From the boardrooms of global finance and private jets to the sands and mountains of Northern Africa and the Sahara, the books explore the struggles of the ancient warrior Meretneith, The Protectress. Weaved in retrospect, she and her brother the god Ptah relate in stunning detail the evolution of wars. There are surprising undercurrent twists in erotic relationships and LGBTQ romance that makes for an enticing read.

This series of works are unique but in my opinion enjoyable. I tried to keep close to my research on ancient pre Ptolemaic Egyptian time lines while weaving fictional accounts involving strong characters.

If you are interested, please reply to this email and see my links for sample pages.

    Thank you.

  • Hello,

I am emailing to request a review for my new book, Sunlight, a paranormal romance of 79k words.
in a fast-paced tale of one girl’s faith, the price of true love, and an epic battle with a stunning reveal, a young woman, Jo, heads to a forest with friends for a weekend. She prays Mike will fall in love with her, but the forest reveals a terrible secret once the sun goes down and Jo is hurled into a fight for her life. Her bravery and unrelenting faith do cause Mike to see her differently, but Jo’s feelings have been changed by another, whose hidden identity will break her heart.

    Thank you for your consideration.

  • The book I wish to have reviewed is in the genre of Vintage erotic romance, but I see it as much more than that description covers. An abused housewife in 1944 gains relief from her abusive husband and finds a life, she had only dreamed of, with a wealthy sexually knowledgeable man. He lovingly teaches her that sex is more than an enjoyment for men. Sarah Barnes is the main character. She helps another abused woman gain freedom from her sadistic husband. Amazon is the most well known source for the inexperienced reader and I wish to have a review done there, BUT Lovers Lies and Lilies is also published on Smashwords. Each has reviews with Amazon having more than Smashwords. The coupon for Smashwords is AK97D It is not case sensitive. I grew up with an abusive father and I based the book on that aspect of my life. I suppose as revenge in the only form available to me. Sexual scenes are moderately prevalent in the story as it shows Sarah’s sexual development and experiences.
The page count on Smashwords is 139 with 61,180 words. Part two of Lovers Lies and Lilies is in the process of editing. I expect it to be available before the end of this month as it is more than half done now.
Thank you for considering my work. I do hope you review it and that you also enjoy reading

  • My latest thriller novel, When the Reaper Comes, was released on November 4. I hope you’ll consider reviewing it.

  • Hey! I came across this blog from the Indie Reviewers Page, and I’d love it if I can interest you in my new series, The Rosamond Series. It’s a coming of age story of a young girl who has to start her life again away from home. The story is categorized as a Victorian Contemporary Romance Saga. And to be fair, there isn’t much romance at the very start; she’s, like, 12, guys. LOL! But, if you’re willing to take the ride with the storyline, you might be pleasantly surprised. Here’s the blurb from Amazon:

“I must… learn to be proper. To be good.”

Immersed in a new way of life and surrounded by strange faces, a journey far from home begins for a girl who must make amends for her…behavior. Too naïve to fully grasp her exit, she is away to a place where the comforts of the society which she once knew—comforts that she took for granted—are entirely stripped away. Before her lies just one path, and those she has left behind are left with memories of a girl who no longer exists. Somehow, she is gone without a trace, without any sign of where she could be, and without any sign of returning.

Can such a disappearance be put to rights? Perhaps it was all just some sort of… misunderstanding.

The eBook is permanently free on Amazon. You can download it at ANY time!

I really hope to hear from you! Thanks for your time! And thanks for all you do!

  • I’d love it if you could review my book, Betting On Kincade by Devon McKay. It’s a 218 page standalone, contemporary romance due out on February 15th. Below is the blurb and an excerpt to see if you would be interested in reviewing my book.

    Betting On Kincade Blurb:

Everyone Cassie Wilcox loved is gone. And now, thanks to her drunken stepfather, her house and family business will be taken from her, too, unless she can find a way to buy back the ranch from the new owner. With less than two months to come up with money she doesn’t have, her options are running out, and apparently, her common sense as she rents out rooms to an eclectic group of strangers.
Returning home for Dalton Kincade is bittersweet. Not a damn thing has changed. Two years on the rodeo circuit weren’t able to shake free the memory of the feisty redhead who’d broken his heart into a thousand pieces. Nor the sting of her parting words…Never trust a Kincade.
Winning her beloved ranch in a drunken bet is the last thing he expected to happen, but at least he saved it for her. Now, he has to figure out how to break that news to a woman who never wants to see him again. Renting a room in the house he now owns might be a risk, but it’s nothing compared to betting his heart on winning back the love of his life.

    Betting On Kincade Excerpt:

“Are you going to play or just sit there?” Gary Evans slurred in drunken angst as he kicked back his chair and leaned over the table. Not waiting for a reply, he picked up the crisp piece of paper lodged between them, waved it in the air, and then, slammed the deed to the Wilcox land back down on the hard pressed wood.
Cautiously, Dalton stationed a deadly stare on the intoxicated fool and noted the shimmering of glee highlighting the steel gray of the man’s eyes. Tapping the top card, he slowly trailed his finger along the swirled red print.
He was a loser no matter the outcome. Should’ve just walked away. Ignored Gary’s foolish bet and the taunts that followed once the hook had been set. It wasn’t as if Cassie would appreciate his effort anyway. Regardless, he couldn’t walk away and let her lose it all.
Clenching his jaw, he folded his fingers around the squared edges and paused before picking up the pile.
“Read ‘em and weep,” Gary squealed gleefully as he tossed his cards next to the deed. “Four deuces.” He stumbled from the end of the table, closing the gap between them in one stride, before managing to shove a quadruple of stubby digits in front of Dalton’s face. “Four.”
Dalton studied his hand with guarded fury, then stifled the drunkard’s premature victory with a flick of his wrist.

    Thank you for your consideration.

  • Hi,

I work for Reverse Entropy Publishing and we are looking for people to review our first ever book Regolith! The book is here on Amazon:

Regolith is a dramatic pop-fiction/sci-fi crossover based around the birth of artificial consciousness. It brings together a variety of different characters including Elle, the woman in charge of this huge discovery.

I hope you’re interested in the book, if you are let me know and I can send you a copy to review.

  • First off, thank your time. I understand that you are busy and I appreciate the time you are taking to read this.

I am looking for book reviews and came across your site. My book, St. Matthew’s House, was released in July of 2016. It was featured in a virtual book tour but what it really needs is more reviews posted on Amazon and Goodreads.

St. Matthew’s House is a paranormal romance novella. Approximately 118 pages on Kindle/166 pages in print. I hope that you will consider that while thinking about your decision.

Here is the description. (As of writing this email, the description is being updated on Amazon so if you looked the book up, you might see the old version.)

“An enchanting story that leaves you breathless and wanting more all the way through. This story is one that is a mix of romance and paranormal that arouses and heightens the senses. There are unforeseen surprises at every chapter, and this book is a true page turner. The ending draws you in and leaves you wanting more.” – A Paranormal Romance Reader

15 years ago, Adam walked through the doors of St. Matthew’s church. Obsessed with his ex-girlfriend, TaShena, he vows that if she won’t be his; she won’t be anyone else’s either. Adam murders her as she walks down the aisle. In front of the crowd of screaming family and friends, he then puts the gun to his head.

Sounds of footsteps, and cries from a woman, causes the attendance at St. Matthew’s to drop. The Catholic diocese then closes the church. Years later, a local man, looking to make a buck, purchases the abandoned church and converts it into a house. The St. Matthew’s House.

Sophia Demitri moved to Greenville to escape her obsessive ex-boyfriend. After renting a house she found through an online classified, she learns that her new home used to be that same church.

Frankie Everhart lives his life carelessly until visions of his deceased bride, and a mysterious engagement ring, sends Sophia straight into his arms.

Things are going bump-in-the-night in the St. Matthew’s House and Sophia thinks she’s going insane. Her and Frankie are falling in love….but the St. Matthew’s House has a mind of its own.

Move over TaShena, Adam has a new obsession! He killed for love once but will he be able to do it again?
St. Matthew’s House is a stand-alone novella. But… you never know if ghosts will return or not.

Would you be interested in a copy of St. Matthew’s House?
    Thank you for your time,

  • Good Morning!

I’m a new author. This is a series called, Soul Mate series which is contemporary/romance/fantasy/erotic

C.L. Hunter started writing poetry as a young girl. Her grandparents owned newspapers in Arkansas: the McCrory Leader and the Augusta Advocate. She’d send her poems to them. In return they’d print them in the weekly newspaper and send the clippings back to her. That started her love for writing. Her first novel, Your Soul Was Made for Mine, won Reader’s Favorite Silver Award and the Benjamin Franklin Digital Silver Honoree Award.

She attended Arkansas State, studying business, but started a family early having three children. Hunter considers herself a Floridian, having lived in Saint Augustine since the age of seven. She loves the beach and hot, humid weather—the hotter the better. She is an avid gardener, loving every type of flower God created. You’ll find flowers in all her books. She also loves boating and anything that has to do with the water. When she’s not writing, she’s a design consultant for a custom homebuilder in Jacksonville, Florida.

My first book, Your Soul Was Made for Mine, was released Sept 2015. Contemporary/romance/erotica 327 pages and around 128,000 words
Looking for a new shade of grey? Introducing “Your Soul Was Made for Mine.” Author C. L. Hunter magnificently weaves a tale of loss, pain, romance, and electrifying thrills that will keep you captivated until the very end. When their lives converge in Ireland, Nolan and Emmalyn will never be the same as dangers appear from Nolan’s past and they unravel astonishing secrets together. With each new discovery, they go to places, events, and ecstasies they could have never imagined possible.

My second book, My Soul Belongs to You, was released Dec 2016. Contemporary/romance/erotica 228 pages and around 88,000 words
